Privacy Policy

There is no attempt or intention to collect personal data on my website. Nothing.

I have not knowingly used plugins or third party embeds that collect your personal data.

I won’t attempt to explain why I collect your personal data because once again,…I don’t collect it.

Comments

If visitors were able to leave comments on the site the software (Website Builder) will automatically collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. (….but since you can’t,…never mind)

If emails are sent to me within this site, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. (Again I will mention that I am not in control of this feature of the software and am not the recipient of any information collected in this process. However, the content of the email to me is obviously something I will have visibility to)

Media

This site does not offer the ability to upload content to it.

If you were able to upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

By default, Website Builder does not include a contact form.

Cookies

The software provides the cookies which Website Builder installs by default.

If you were able to leave a comment on my site you may have had the option to opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. (…or not at all since I don’t have a comments section)

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. (..this may apply at a later point in time but currently not so much)

Analytics

By default Website Builder does not collect any analytics data. However, my web hosting account provider seems to collect some anonymous analytics data. (I can’t claim to know all what’s running in the background of the hosting Provider (Go Daddy) and so will not make any statements on what they are collecting or doing with information that is captured when visiting my site. I can state that I am not the entity collecting or retaining it nor do I see or individually benefit from their activities)

Who we share your data with

By default Website Builder does not share any personal data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

If you were able to leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

I will leave this part essentially blank as I do not collect and therefore cannot retain personal data generated from visiting my site.

Where we send your data

I will also leave this part blank as I do not collect and therefore cannot send your data anywhere.

Visitor comments (…which you can’t make) may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

I don’t, for obvious reasons…

What data breach procedures we have in place

Nothing to breach so no measures are in place.

What third parties we receive data from

None.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Seriously?
